Jack White, ex-husband of Meg White

Jack and Meg White, a husband-and-wife rock duo, created The White Stripes in 1997 and split in 2011.

Despite portraying themselves as brothers and sisters as part of their musical act, the two were not brothers and sisters and married a year before forming the band.

When Jack White and Meg White married in 1996, he took Meg White’s surname.

In 2000, the pair split, and both went on to marry new partners while continuing to make music together.

Professionally, Jack White is still known as Jack White.
