8. Zimbabwe
Among African countries, Zimbabwe is the eighth-most highly-educated.
Zimbabwe has a literacy rate of 86.50 per cent, with a population of 14,862,924.
Before being able to attend university in Zimbabwe or elsewhere, students must complete a minimum of seven years of primary schooling and six years of secondary education in Zimbabwe. Zimbabwe’s school year has three-month terms from January to December, broken up by one-month vacations totalling 40 weeks.
