In the 1950’s a woman could cook, clean, bear children and look like a Stepford wife, but when it came to opening ketchup bottles, she needed the help of a “knife blade, a bottle opener and a husband.” Thankfully, Alco Aluminum was invented because there was no longer need for “muscle power,” since we all know that women don’t have muscles.

If only women of today could time travel back to the time of this ad and use their muscles to give a one-two punch to the man who wrote this, and their brains to write a better, less offensive slogan.
