AS Monaco playmaker Bernardo Silva believes the French outfit have what it takes to overcome their first-leg deficit against Manchester City in the Champions League last-16.
City beat Monaco 5-3 at the Etihad Stadium, but Silva remains confident the Ligue 1 leaders can overcome manager Pep Guardiola’s team on Wednesday.
The Portuguese told FourFourTwo: “Yes, we will have to make an outstanding match. We know that City are in form right now.
“But with our supporters we can do it. We have this ambition, then we will see.
“We know we must not concede a goal and we know that is not easy against this team.
“We’re going to try to concentrate and not make the same mistakes that we made. We also know that offensively we are able to score.”
The last time Monaco progressed past the last-16 stage of the Champions League was in 2004 when they lost in the final to Jose Mourinho’s FC Porto.
