The veteran playmaker parted ways with the Brazilians recently citing his intention to get some more playing time elsewhere. Nonetheless, Mosimane is not bitter about the player’s exit and says his time at Chloorkop must be recognised and respected.
He told the Sowetan, “He has achieved everything. He won the league twice with us, he won the Telkom [Knockout], he won the Nedbank Cup.
“He has won big cups with me, the ones some players retire without ever winning. There’s the Champions League and (CAF) Super Cup. Those are the grand slams. One day he can bow out and say ‘I have contributed to football’.”
Cape Town City is said to be interested in landing the 34-year-old although champions Bidvest Wits have entirely ruled out a move for the former Bafana Bafana star.
