Pic of the Day: Iceberg Alley

Iceberg Alley

Icebergs pass through ‘Iceberg Alley’, near Ferryland, Newfoundland.

The town has become a tourist magnet for iceberg spotters, and the area received its nickname as icebergs that break off in Arctic regularly float down the coasts of Newfoundland and Labrador.

They can be seen from spring to September.

To date, 600 icebergs have already floated down ‘Iceberg Alley’ this season, when compared to the 687 seen over the entire last season.
