New Kaizer Chiefs signing Gustavo Paez believes the club are one of the giants of the African continent and he cannot wait to prove himself to the fans.

The 26-year-old Venezuelan was unveiled by the Glamour Boys after signing a two-and-a-half year deal earlier this week, and is available to make his debut when they take on Free State Stars on 8 February.

He told the club’s official website: “I have already seen some television footage of Chiefs games. It’s a big club, one of the best in Africa, and the supporters are simply amazing. They create such a great ambience in the stadium. I am looking forward to play in front of the fans.

“It is undoubtedly a wonderful opportunity to join the Chiefs Family. It’s my goal to become an important player for the club and contribute to winning trophies.”
