Meunier returns to PSG for treatment

Paris Saint-Germain right-back Thomas Meunier has returned to the Ligue 1 side after suffering an ankle injury with the Belgium national team.

According to a statement released by the Ligue 1 official website, the former Brugge utility man picked up the knock during PSG’s win over Lorient, two weeks ago – but has yet to recover fully.

The 25-year-old will now miss The Red Devils fixtures against Greece on Saturday and Russia on Tuesday, while joining fellow right-back Serge Aurier and midfielder Grzegorz Krychowiak on the injury hit-list for Les Parisiens.

Since making the €7 million switch from the Belgian Pro League, Meunier has impressed in the capital of France, with six assists and two goals in 29 games.
