Kaizer Chiefs have confirmed that defender Eric Mathoho has extended his stay at Naturena until 2020, as he has become an integral member of the squad.
The 26-year-old has been a rock at the heart of Chiefs’ defence in recent seasons and will now remain at the Glamour Boys for the foreseeable future under coach Steve Komphela.
The club’s football manager, Bobby Motaung, told the club’s official website: “We are glad Tower has signed a new deal with us. Tower signed a three-year extension to his existing contract.”
Amakhosi have kept the most clean sheets in the Premiership in 2016/17 and are amongst the league leaders for having conceded the fewest number of goals as well.
Mathoho is seemingly forming something of a formidable partnership with Lorenzo Gordinho at the back.
