Ligue 1 side Olympique de Marseille look set to make striker Bafétimbi Gomis’ loan deal from Swansea City a permanent one at the end of the season.
Gomis is currently on a season-long loan deal from the English Premier League side, and with 16 goals, he’s the club’s top goal scorer in the French top-flight.
Despite reports surfacing in french publication L’Équipe about Rudi García’s side planning a massive €40m kitty for a new marquee forward, the move for the France international has also become a priority acquisition.
The Swans are likely to part ways with the 31-year-old on a cut-price deal due to his excessive wages of €100k a week.
Les Phocéens are also in negotiations with Serie A side AS Roma to complete a €3m deal for another loanee, 28-year-old midfielder William Vainqueur.
