Madisha has been nominated alongside teammate Percy Tau and Golden Arrows winger Nduduzo Sibiya.
“Last season was my first in the PSL and I took it as a learning curve for me, though I have managed to adapt quickly in coach Pitso’s tactics.
“When I was included in the first team’s 18-man squad, I said to myself ‘let me grab this opportunity by both hands and make an impression to the technical team’. And I’m happy that I have managed to hold my own in the team’s experienced defence so far,” Madisha told Vodacom Soccer.
“But, honestly, I didn’t expect to be nominated in any of the PSL awards in my first season. So, I really feel honoured for this and it comes as a motivation to me for putting more effort in my performance,” added the former SA Under-20 captain who made 14 starts in all competitions in last season’s campaign.”
Still on course for CAF Champions League title defence and having already gone through to the tournament’s last eight, The Brazilians close off their Group C with Sunday evening’s home clash against DR Congo’s AS Vita Club at Lucas Moripe Stadium. Kick-off time is at 7pm.
“Of course, in a short space of time it has built me to be strong physically and mentally, and I’m still yearning for more participation in the Champions League campaign to grow in becoming an experienced player,” Madisha concluded.
