Bucs will be battling it out with SuperSport United at Moses Mabhida Stadium on Saturday night. Kick-off is at 8.15pm.
Lorch, who enjoyed an outstanding campaign in his first season at Pirates, was sidelined after suffering an injury to his shoulder against Highlands Park in April.
The 23-year-old winger, who returned to Pirates from a loan spell with Chippa United in January, quickly won over Bucs’ faithful with
his skillful play and ability to take on opposition defences.
He had made 11 starts and scored one goal before his injury.
“The fact that I won’t be part of Pirates team that will be battling for Nedbank Cup trophy on Saturday, pains me. But on the other side I’m eagerly looking forward to lay my hand on the trophy for the first time in my professional soccer career.
“I may not be in the team’s 18-man squad, but I will be in the stadium to witness my team battle for one of the coveted cups in the PSL,” Lorch exclusively told Vodacom Soccer.
“Of course, enjoying a regular game-time in my first season in the star-studded team like Pirates has boosted my confidence and fired me up to double my efforts, come next season,” added Lorch.
