The 24-year old, who was on hand to finish a terrific team-effort to open the scoring against the Serie A champions on Saturday, is brimming with confidence ahead of the London club’s looming Premier League campaign which kicks off against Newcastle. next Saturday.

“When you start pre-season you can’t wait for the season to start,” he added. “We’ve had a tough month and now we’re looking forward to it all getting started. We played well against Juventus and the feeling is good going into that first game.”
“Pre-season is all about fitness,” the England international continued. “That was the last game before the start of the season so it was good to get 80 minutes under my belt personally, now we have another full week of training. We’ll work hard ahead of Newcastle.”
