Kampl demands Leverkusen exit

Bayer Leverkusen star Kevin Kampl says he doesn’t want to play for the BUndesliga club any longer despite being under contract at the BayArena until 2020.

The 26-year-old midfielder appears to be unhappy with life at Leverkusen after former coach Roger Schmidt left the club.

Kampl revealed he was hurt when Schmidt departed last March, and he now wants out.

“I will definitely leave Leverkusen, which is a fact! Roger’s exit has hurt me, and left traces,” the Slovenia international told kicker.

Kampl added he may consider a move to Schmidt new club, Bejing Guoan in China, saying: “China is very far, if I go there, then only because of Roger.”

Meanwhile, Bayer sports director Rudi Voller revealed there are other clubs interested in the player’s services, reportedly including Milan.
