New Orlando Pirates coach Kjell Jonevret has revealed that he is encouraging his players to enjoy their football and to play with passion and freedom once more.
Jonevret, who oversaw his first match in charge in a 1-1 draw with Polokwane City last Saturday, told the club’s official website: “We spoke about the results they were getting in the past because there are some really good football players in this group but many of them are low on confidence at the moment.
“The only thing I can do for now is to remind them why they love football, this is a fun sport and they are supposed to enjoy it. I told them to just go out and play for the love of the game.
“I want to win, I hope to win and I can only do that if the players follow the plan. We will have a game plan for every match and situation we just need the players to believe in themselves. It is difficult but every day we give them positive reinforcement. we focus on improving the positives and eliminating the negatives and I know we will get there as a unit.”
