With the Force unable to qualify for the play-offs, the match will be Hodgson’s last as he hangs up his boots at the end of the season.
Hodgson has played a club-record 139 games for the Force, notched 11 caps for the Wallabies, and become a respected figurehead in Australian rugby.
Ironically, his last game comes against the Waratahs, the side he started his career with. However, injury prevented him from making a Super Rugby appearance for the Sydney-based side.
When asked about his plans for after the game, Hodgson told the Canberra Times: “We’re all catching up for a few drinks for the next six months.
“That will be pretty exciting – actually stopping.
“I’m pretty excited. I’m enjoying every moment I get to be out with the boys.
“It probably won’t hit me until that final hooter goes.”
