Highlanders target left-back cover for Moyo

Highlanders Chief Executive Officer, Nhlanhla Dube, confirmed the club want to sign a left-back to potentially replace the highly-rated Honest Moyo.

The full-back impressed for the Warriors during their recent COSAFA Cup victory in South Africa, and Newsday report that the player is in that country with an unnamed Premiership outfit said to be interested in his services.

As such, Highlanders are eager to find a replacement, with Dube confirming the news. “The coaches have expressed their desire to have cover for the left-back position,” he told the same publication

“They (the coaches) are looking for a left-footer and, with Honest Moyo increasingly becoming a feature in the national team, that position needs to get covered and in the event he (Moyo) is injured or suspended.”

Bosso are reportedly looking at both Mbongeni Ndlovu and Charlton Siamalonga as replacements, although a move into the transfer market has been mooted as well.
