Torino goalkeeper Joe Hart admits he let his side down during the 2-2 draw with Internazionale in their Serie A clash at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino on Saturday.
Hart was guilty of an individual error that gifted the visitors the lead just before the half-four mark as Geoffrey Kondogbia shot went through underneath the England international’s body.
The home side fought back valiantly with Daniele Baselli and Afriyie Acquah both scoring on either side of half-time to put Siniša Mihajlovic’s side ahead.
But on 62 minutes, Hart misjudged a cross from full-back Cristian Ansaldi, allowing Antonio Candreva to slot home a simple tap-in for the equaliser.
“It was a crazy game, a lot of our games have always been very exciting to watch,” Hart told Torino Channel.
“I’d love to have done better on the first goal especially, but I felt as a team we fought hard and I think both teams will walk off unhappy they didn’t win.
“Inter are in a very good moment, they scored seven goals and five goals in previous matches, but we’re not happy that we didn’t win.”
The result leaves Torino in tenth place while I Nerazzurri missed the chance to stake their claim on fourth place.
