Gomes signs new Hornets deal

Watford have rewarded goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes with a new deal at the Premier League club.

The 36-year-old has signed a new two-year deal to keep him with the Hornets until June 2019.


A former Brazilian national team stopper, with 11 caps, Gomes has also played for Cruzeiro, PSV, Tottenham Hotspur, and Hoffenheim on loan.

He has already played 122 times for Watford after joining the club from Spurs in 2014 and went on to claim the Player of the Season award in the 2015/16 season, as well a the Players’ Player award for successive seasons in 2015/16 and 2016/17.
