Gombe United coach Manu Garba has been given a three match ultimatum to turn the struggling Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) side’s fortunes around.
Having just been promoted to the top flight after three seasons in the second tier, the Desert Scorpions are third from bottom on the league table after 18 games played and facing potential relegation.
As such, the club’s management have given the technical team a short time frame to improve results.
“The technical adviser (head coach), Manu Garba, and his crew have been given an ultimatum in the next three matches to improve on the team’s performance or face sanction,” the club annoucned via a statement over the weekend.
Next up for Gombe are home and away fixtures against NPFL champions Enugu Rangers before they host Katsina United.
