Matsatsantsa ended their domestic campaign in style with a thrilling counter-attacking display to hand new Bafana Bafana manager Stuart Baxter the perfect send-off.
Furman himself produced a composed display in midfield and he feels the discipline of his team-mates in defence allowed the likes of Thuso Phala, Jeremy Brockie, Thabo Mnyamane and Bradley Grobler to roam with creative freedom.
“That was one of our biggest performances of the season and I think we saved the best for last,” Furman said.
“We were outstanding from start to finish, we had a game-plan, and we are delighted that after a long, hard season we have come out with something that we deserve.
“We have got massive discipline and everything comes from our structure and the way we work hard on the training pitch. And then we have got that freedom in our attacking play.
“All round it was a terrific team performance and I think it could have been more on the day.”
