Two insurance companies are threatening to take legal action against Ford, after the company encountered faults with its Ford EcoSport SUV.
The Sunday Times is reporting that Auto & General and Dial Direct have settled three claims from Ford EcoSport SUV owners whose cars burst into flames.
Both companies say Ford has been notified.
The EcoSport is a smaller, less expensive version of the now infamous Kuga.
More than 4,500 Kugas were recalled earlier this year after 50 cases of the car bursting into flames were reported.
