The Glamour Boys are currently in third place in Zimbabwe’s Premier League on 39 points, three behind second-placed Chicken Inn and four behind leaders Ngezi Platinum.
The accomplished defender, who has recently been used as a left-midfielder, was suspended by the league for accumulating three yellow cards in previous games. The 32-year-old has been in a rich vein of form, scoring three goals in his last three matches.
As such, Mutasa told Newsday that his absence could cost his team points in the title race. The coach said: “On our part, this is a drawback. Mushure is a key member of the team. If you look at the last three games, his contribution helped us collect nine points.
“He has been scoring goals and assisting as well. But that is all part of the game. Somebody will have to step in.”
