Ajax sent chief scout Louis Diefaiera and his assistant Patrick Mitangu to look at the player during a recent 2-0 win over Yadah FC, where he bagged a single goal in the contest.
Such was the impression that the forward made on the scouts, it was recommended to Urban Warriors senior management that he be snapped up immediately.
As such, a lucrative deal has gone through with Epoupa penning a two-year contract in the Mother City. The Cameroon international had managed eight league goals prior to his move from the Glamour Boys.
Mitangu told Newsday, “It’s a huge transfer fee for Dynamos. We had a fruitful meeting with the Dynamos chairman (Keni Mubaiwa) and we agreed on a two-year deal.
“We are now pushing to have him registered. He is the only player from those that we have seen we are registering. The rest we will try to push through their deals in the next transfer window in January.”
