
Coach Pitso Mosimane is said to rate the defensive midfielder highly and was impressed with the player’s performances mainly in the MultiChoice Diski Challenge side in 2016/17.
Mosimane reportedly regards the 27-year-old as a natural successor to the likes of Hlompho Kekana and Hlompho Kekana in the club’s holding role.
Soccer Laduma report that Kumalo has penned a deal with the African champions and will compete for a position in the squad in 2017/18.
