Chippa United coach Dan Malesela remains in limbo after he was put on special leave by the club.
Under Malesela, the Chilli Boys have found themselves in all sorts of trouble, and with time running out, they are one of the club’s that are fighting against relegation.
Chippa are 14th on the Premiership table, level on points with Baroka FC, and both sides have three games remaining.
“I’m waiting for the club to tell me — I don’t know what, anything [regarding the way forward]. I’m at home,” Malesela told Sowetan Live.
“They haven’t contacted me.”
Mbuyiselo Sambu has been left in charge of the club on an interim basis as they try to navigate their way up the table towards safety.
Malesela, linked with Polokwane City, added that his representative, renowned football agent Tim Sukazi is also in the dark regarding his future.
“If they were in touch with him [Sukazi], he would have told me.”
Sowetan Live reported that Chippa’s communications manager Luthando Zibeko directed all enquiries to club chairman Chippa Mpengesi, who could not be reached for comment.
