Chelsea v Nottingham Forest

Chelsea will be looking for a business-like win on Wednesday when they face Nottingham Forest in a League Cup third round clash at Stamford Bridge.

The Blues have been undefeated since their opening-day loss to Burnley, notching up three wins prior to last weekend’s 1-1 draw with Arsenal, while also making light work of Qarabag in the Champions League.

That will be ominous for a Forest side who have lost three of their last four matches in the Championship, going down 2-1 to Wolverhampton on the weekend after managing a 1-0 win over Sunderland earlier in the week to leave them 10th in the standings in England’s second tier.

In team news, the Blues are without central defender David Luiz after he got a straight red card against the Gunners, while Pedro might miss out with an ankle injury. Danny Drinkwater remains a month or so away from his Chelsea debut with a calf strain.
