Cheetahs captain Francois Venter is an injury concern ahead of his side’s clash with the Sunwolves in Tokyo on Saturday.
The Springbok centre limped off the field in the 22nd minute of his side’s 61-7 defeat to the Hurricanes last weekend.
According to Netwerk24, he is suffering from a grade 1 hamstring tear and a decision on his availability for selection against the Sunwolves will be made later this week.
This is not the first time this season that Venter is injured. He missed the Cheetahs’ first four matches due to an ankle problem, but returned to action against the Sharks in Round 5.
His return was short-lived, however, as he sustained a hamstring injury in that same match.
