Carroll: The West Ham lads are behind Bilic

West Ham striker Andy Carroll has made it clear that all the players support manager Slaven Bilic and gave everything to beat Huddersfield Town.

The Irons claimed a 2-0 victory over the Terriers on Monday night, their first win of the Premier League season, thanks to goals from Pedro Obiang and Andre Ayew.

The victory alleviated the pressure that was building on Bilic, and Carroll was pleased to see everyone play their hearts out at the London Stadium.

“We needed the win,” said Carroll, as quoted by talkSPORT.

“It’s been tough but the lads are behind the manager. We went out there and fought and we got the two goals.

“It’s been a tough road for us but we played our hearts out and got the three points.”

Carroll has been on the sidelines with a groin injury and made his first start of the season against Huddersfield.
