Borussia Dortmund have unveiled Peter Bosz as their new manager for the upcoming Bundesliga season.
BVB parted ways with Thomas Tuchel, who had fallen out with the club’s board, three days after he led the club to the DFB-Pokal – their first trophy in five years, and a third-placed league finish.
Bosz, meanwhile, guided Ajax Amsterdam to a second-placed Eredivisie finish, behind Champions Feyenoord as well as to the Europa League final, where they lost to Manchester United, and has signed a contract at the club until 2019.
A very brief statement on the club’s Twitter feed read: “Peter Bosz is the new BVB Head Coach. Contract will last until 2019. Further info in a press conference this afternoon.”
The 53-year-old Bosz has previoulsy managed AGOVV, De Graafschap, Heracles, Heracles Almelo, Vitesse and Maccabi Tel Aviv.
