Charles Bridge, Prague, Czech Republic
Located on River Vltava, the historic arch bridge was built between 1357 and 1402 on the orders of King Charles IV and connects the Old Town with Lesser Quarter. The bridge, made up of sandstone blocks with fortified towers at both ends, was built to replace the Judith Bridge which was severely damaged in the 1342 floods.
