Bafana stars victims of phone hacking

Bafana Bafana stars, Keagan Dolly and Lebogang Manyama, have both recently revealed they have been victim of a phone hacking scam in which criminals use their names to extort money.

The two attackers, who are both now building careers in Europe, had their personal phone numbers hijacked by unknown perpetrators who then contacted friends and colleagues asking for money on their behalf.

24-year-old Dolly plays for France’s Montpellier while Manyama turns out for Turkey’s Konyaspor. Reports suggest that the two players are yet to terminate their numbers to sort out the issue, although it is thought they will take action to solve the problem in the near future.

Dolly took to Twitter to explain the situation, tweeting, “Good morning good people, my Whatsapp got hacked so if you get a message saying I’m in need of money or anything please ignore.”

Meanwhile, Manyama added on his own account, “Evening my number was hacked this afternoon can you guys (Vodacom) kindly block it from doing anything please. Thank you in advance.”
