The Italy international midfielder went public with his desire to return to Turin, and missed the start of Atalanta’s season, but will now remain with them for another campaign.
“Staying at Atalanta for another season? That’s what we agreed,” Percassi told Radio anch’io sport.
“The fact that Spinazzola played for the national team means he was considered by Ventura to do so. The CT looked at him in training and decided to use him.
“All his teammates are waiting for the lad in Bergamo with open arms. My meeting with him will last five minutes. The case is closed for us.
“I’m sorry if he was hurt, Spinazzola’s a good lad and there will be maximum participation on his part, like he’s always shown, with great professionalism.”
Atalanta began their Serie A campaign with back-to-back defeats against Roma and Napoli, and return to league action against Sassuolo on Sunday.
