Former Nigeria U20 star Abdul Ajagun has been named in the Eredivisie team of the week after he scored an impressive brace for Roda JC against Sparta Rotterdam last weekend.
The Pride of the South would go on to win the game 3-1 and as such Ajagun was elected into the team of the week with a score of 13 points. He is in a midfield comprising of Groningen’s Mimoun Mahi, PSV Eindhoven’s Davy Propper and PEC Zwolle’s Django Warmerdam.
The player, who helped the Flying Eagles to reach the U20 World Cup in 2013, managed to complete the game despite picking up an injury after scoring his first goal. It was a vital brace by Ajagun as it helped his club tremendously in their battle against relegation.
The 24-year-old is spending the whole of this season on loan at Roda JC before returning to his parent club Panathinaikos in the Greece Super League.
