GOOGLE has rolled out an update to Google Maps on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch that brings users a few useful new features, including ordering food from your favorite restaurants.
Google Maps has just been bumped to version 4.24, bringing many new useful features.
The hugely-successful navigation app now lets users order food from their favorite restaurants, add photographs of places from within the app, and find Plus Codes for locations that do not have their street address by simply dropping a pin.
Unfortunately, not all these features will be available in every city at launch.
But if your location is supported, when you search for a restaurant or takeaway within the app, you will now see a new Place An Order option in the details of the location.
Tapping on the button will throw you to the website of whatever delivery service (GrubHub, EatStreet) the chosen restaurant is signed up for.

This nifty new addition could make Google Maps your new default takeaway app – a function currently occupied by rivals, including JustEat, UberEats, and Deliveroo.
As well as sorting your Saturday night takeaway, version 4.24 of Google Maps makes it much easier to contribute photos of locations you visited.
Below the existing images listed at a chosen location, Add A Photo is now an option.
Tap the option, and you can now snap a new photo directly from within Google Maps. There’s also the option to upload an image from your camera roll.
Finally, Google has made finding Plus Codes for a location more accessible than ever.
Drop a pin anywhere on the map, and Google will surface the Plus Code. This functionality was pushed-out to Android users earlier in the year.
Plus, codes are a clever way of representing locations that don’t have specific street addresses.
Earlier this month, Google Maps was updated with a rich iOS 10 widget, new detailed location descriptions, and more.
The latest version of Google Maps for iOS is available now on the App Store.
