United target PSG oucast Aurier

Manchester United are set to make their move for Paris Saint-Germain right-back Serge Aurier after he was deemed surplus to requirements.

Despite his current predicament, after being left out of their pre-season tour of the United States, the Ivory Coast international is still considered one of Europe’s finest right-sided defenders.

However, his disciplinary issues in the past at the Ligue 1 club may have swayed PSG head coach Unai Emery to opt for Thomas Meunier as new arrival Dani Alves’ under-study at Parc des Princes.

Red Devils boss Jose Mourinho would consider Aurier as the ideal signing to challenge Antonio Valencia for a spot in his starting line-up, after admitting the current transfer market has been tough – even for one of the Europe’s biggest clubs.
